The Mid Valley Quartet invites you to become familiar with its ministry, message, and purpose and to be uplifted through our Christian music. 

God began leading the Schoon family toward a Christian music ministry in the 70’s when the two youngest brothers, Kim and Don, heard of a new life by faith in Jesus Christ.    Click on Our Testimonies for how each member came to Christ.

The Schoon family is truly grateful to God for His saving grace through belief in His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. In Christ’s forgiveness and their repentance, they found freedom from their sins.  Each experienced the new life and new nature through faith and through receiving Christ’s redeeming blood as payment for their sins.

In the early 80’s, Don began writing Christian music.  It all started with Don's song "Somewhere".  God has led the quartet to share the Gospel, giving encouragement and hope through their Christian music.  The beginning was in a small town of Basalt, Colorado.  God first burdened the quartet to minister to the small, sometimes struggling, churches on the western slope of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.   For the history of the group and their Christian music, click on Meet the Quartet.

The quartet incorporates many Christian music styles to convey God’s message of love, compassion, encouragement, sacrifice, and redemption.  The Christian music styles recorded range from Southern Gospel, Jazz, and Blue Grass to Folk, Ballad, Country, and Contemporary Gospel.  The projects “Love Has A Name” in 2000 and “I Can Live For Ever” in 2002 continue to reflect their commitment to praise God and to tell others about God’s redeeming grace through Christian music.  Click on the different links to know more about the ministry or to find a personal relationship with God and be happy in Jesus.
